Description: This area is used to determine if a project meets the location for housing development project under SB 79. For details on how stops qualify as SB 79 Transit-Oriented Development Stops and Zones, see HCD’s technical advisory here“Transit-oriented development zone” means the area within one-half mile of a transit-oriented development stop. Gov. Code, § 65912.156, subd. (m)“Tier 2 transit-oriented development stop” means a transit-oriented development stop within an urban transit county, excluding a Tier 1 transit-oriented development stop, served by light rail transit, by high-frequency commuter rail, or by bus service meeting the tandards of paragraph (1) of subdivision (a) of Section 21060.2 of the Public Resources Code.
